My dad bought this car in late 1974.  It was the Dealer's wife's demo. He drove it every day for nearly twenty years, putting 300,000 miles on it.  I got the car in 1992 after he died.  It sat in my driveway for ten years until I finally made the commitment to restore it.  This is the ongoing story of the restoration.

Dad and the car around 1985

Above is the car around 1985 after my dad had it painted. One morning in 1992, he grabbed the seatbelt to put it on and the whole retractor came out in his hand.  He realized  that the rust had taken over and wisely parked the car.

The car is now in my garage at home, in about a thousand pieces.  I'm doing all of the work myself.  Please read on.

Thanks for dropping by and taking a look at my car. I will add pictures as the project progresses. Please get in touch with any comments, questions or reactions!
