We were out on the water at 6:45am for the local fishing derby. Started out slow, but soon found the hot spot.
Jeremy caught eight trout ranging from 8" to 11" by 10:00am. No derby winners, but made for a nice dinner and a biology
lesson.
This is the trophy which Jeremy won for the most fish caught in his age class.
THe words of great-grandma Esther live on...
We are all still alive! The worst is over. We are still talking to each other, Jeremy in his soft raspy voice
and Benjamin non-stop now. Jeremy has almost fully recovered, just a sore neck to complain about. Benjamin doesnt
understand why he can't still have ice cream for breakfast anymore. He ate an entire half-gallon of ice cream during
that first week after his surgery. The tubes have really worked for him, having already progressed in the month since.
He probably won't need speech therapy and was a "hot ticket" at his evaluation!
Shawn and I are healthy once again. Just need to catch up on sleep since its now quiet at night. Shawn's adjusting to his
latest position as GF, filling out accident reports every week and dealing with employee issues continuously. I've taken 11
days off (all personal/sick time of course, none of it a vacation) since the beginning of the year and now need a vacation...
Grandma and grampa (beepa) were very helpful during each of our ordeals and we're glad they are close by. And
amazingly they didnt catch anything from us!
Haven't been in the mood recently to update the site. So far December, January, and going on February have been
sleepless and full of sickness.
1. After having ear infections for a full two months, Benjamin finally had his tonsils and adnoids taken out along with
tubes put in his ears which included an extended stay in the hospital.
2. Jeremy is going in this month to have his tonsils and adnoids removed so he can breathe as well as sleep better
at night.
3. Suzanne and I have had recurrent strep throat for the majority of January into February which included a beautiful allergic
reaction to the meds.
4. Colds and the croup have slipped its way in between everything.
5. And of course due to all of this we're both very behind on work.
Lets hope the list stops here.
