Contemporary

Music of God's Contemporary Ensemble provides music for the 6:30pm Masses at St. Anselm Church on an every other week schedule. The group rehearses on Tuesdays at 7:30pm on the weeks before we sing. (For more details see the Music Calendar)

Although this is a relatively small (but growing) choral ensemble (12-15 members), the group sings in 3-part harmony. Volunteer musicians provide most all of the instrumental support. This is a capable group, which provides excellent leadership for the less formal Saturday evening Mass. In recent years, the group has become more "contemporary" and less "folk" with the addition of percussion.

Musical accompaniment for this ensemble consists of keyboard, 2 guitars, flute, violin and drums. Interested musicians should contact Norm Chapman for rehearsal and performance details and participant expectations. Stop back soon - - new pictures will be posted as soon as possible!
