The tour starts and ends at Union Station in DC. We can take the metro near the Ramada Inn in Rockville to get down there. We can have lunch afterwards and then you’re on your own until Sunday.

 

About the tour:

“See Washington DC on the land and water with this most unusual tour. Traveling in original WW II DUKW amphibious vehicles, this 90 minute tour will take you through the city of Washington DC before splashing down into the Potomac River for the most unique ride and tour of your vacation!”

Wedding Day

Parking Information:   Update [9/3/07] There is parking available near the Lodge for about 35 cars. Given the number of guests at our wedding no one should need to park at the "satellite" lot on Stoney Lick Drive. As you travel on Mink Farm Road (see directions), continue past Stoney Lick Drive (see trail map) until you make the left into ThorpeWood's driveway. There will be parking attendants to direct you as to where to park. They will try to get the cars close together to make room for everyone.

 

For those with special needs: The ThorpeWood staff will provide a golf cart to transport guests from the ceremony location to the lodge. It's a short walk between the Stone Bridge and the Lodge.

Post-Wedding

More Details:   We will plan on meeting at this restaurant unless we say otherwise. We will call them a few days ahead and let them know how many people will be attending.
