PBC contracts with people who have had many years of experience working with and understanding one specific species or several species of companion animals so that we can provide competent animal behavior counseling to our clients. LANA TATE LEHR, LCSW, M Ed: FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Lana Lehr brings 25 years of clinical experience and a lifetime of having had lived, at one time or another, with horses, dogs, rabbits, birds, mice, lizards, and turtles to PBC's practice of animal behavior consultation.

COMPANION ANIMAL BEHAVIOR SPECIALISTS

Our Companion Animal Behavior Specialists are people who have lived and worked with animals for most of their lives. Some are licensed mental health professionals who, after long years of working with people, see the behavioral and emotional similarities in their animal clients. Those who have decided to include companion animals and their human caretakers in their caseloads have taken many hours of additional coursework in the field of animal behavior. Others are experienced veterinary professionals, have worked in animal rescue for many years, and/or have majored in the animal behavior field when doing their university work.

It is our responsibility to understand and respect our companion animals' natures.
