Comments:
Helen A. Rothwell met G.L. Clark on a trip to Russia. She married him over her parents objections and moved to America.
She later divorced him and married Dr. Harris Peyton Mosher, a professor at M.I.T. and inventor of a method to close safety pins in the stomachs of children who had swallowed them. (A common problem
in the days of cloth diapers.) Helen Clark Mosher was known by the younger generations of the Shepard family as "Nanny Mo" and by her younger English cousins as "Aunt Gussie".
