Personal Profile

The Early Days

Named after his ancestor, John Lennox Esq. of  Glasgow, Scotland,  John Boyle was born in America in the city of Boston, and raised in Concord, Massachusetts, the birthplace of the American Revolution.  He spent his youth skiing and climbing in the mountains of New Hampshire, and sailing in the waters of Marblehead.

He graduated from Phillips Andover Academy and gained advanced placement to Harvard University where he graduated with the infamous class of 1972 (known, among other things, for the occupation of University Hall during the Vietnam War).  He also attended classes at M.I.T. and Arizona State University, and obtained the professional designation of CFP® from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO.

Arizona

Immediately after college, John left the east coast and ended up working for a Caterpillar tractor dealership in Arizona.  He started with a computer background and moved up to being a company-wide operations analyst; but he gave it all up to enter the real estate industry which was booming as Phoenix moved from a sleepy cow town to a major metropolitan center.  John spent more than 25 years in Arizona living in Tempe, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and finally Carefree.  His business evolved from owning a real estate company, to adding financial planning, to commodities trading, to money management and securities trading with Kidder, Peabody, to pure investment advice and portfolio management with Lennox Financial.  He also gained a wife and daughters during this time.

Full Circle

As the new millennium approached, John moved back to Massachusetts with his family.  Formerly licensed in insurance, commodities, NASD series 7, series 63, and series 65 securities, mortgage broker, etc., he is leveraging this experience, as an RIA and CFP®, to focus his business on investment management  and advice.                                                    What is an SMA?
