SENIOR ACADEMIC ALL-STAR TEAM CRITERIA
The following conditions must be met in order to nominate a player for the MSFHCA Senior Academic AlI-Star Team:
1. COACH MUST BE A MEMBER OF MSFHCA IN ORDER TO NOMINATE HIS/HER PERSPECTIVE PLAYER (S).
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU WANT TO NOMINATE A PLAYER FOR THE NFHCA ACADEMIC ALL-STAR TEAM YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF NFHCA
AND MUST NOMINATE THAT PLAYER SEPARATELY. MSFHCA ACADEMIC COMMITTEE WILL NOT SEND NOMINATIONS THIS YEAR.
2. Academic Requirements:
· student must be on the Honor Roll first quarter Senior year
· minimum SAT score of 1500 / ACT score of 20
· must be in top 15% of class (top 5% for National consideration)
· any non-ranking schools MUST include copy of transcripts
3. Coach' s letter of recommendation must discuss:
· Character of the player
· playing ability
· sportsmanship (no red cards received during season)
· verification that athlete has been an impact player/starter on their high school team or has
been a key reserve player in their program
Please include any circumstances that make this player special.
4. Field Hockey resume or player profile to be completed by nominated player. Please see enclosed form for players to fill
out.
5. High School Activity Sheet (comes from Guidance Dept.)
6. Letter of recommendation submitted by and Academic Teacher (must be
someone other than nominating coach and may NOT be from the guidance department or guidance counselor).
