Frances M. Morley, Deaconess of First Parish Church in Dorchester, passed on Friday, July 18, 2008.
Fran held the distinction of being the longest living member of First Parish Church.
She had served 3 terms as a trustee (1992, 1997, 2001) and during those years
of service was affectionately known as the ‘kitchen warden’.
Throughout the years Fran served on numerous committees and was always willing to help whenever needed.
Her love of First Parish was evident in her 2 or 3 days a week visits to the church and her watchful concern over
any church project. Fran was often heard asking “What’s taking so long?” and “What do we have to do
to finish it?” She was keeping a close eye on the current project and could often be heard asking, “When is that
steeple going back up?”
Fran’s love of Family and Church continued throughout her lifetime. She was truly a special person
and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Until we meet again…♥
