Matilda Florence Wertz, daughter of John W. Wertz and Mary Ann Pfoutz, was born in
1852 and died in 1901. She was buried in Cammal PA where she had lived with her family.

Matilda married John Luther Downs, Jr., who was born on 9/1/1846 in Dublin Ireland and died
on 12/29/1909 in Newark DE, where he moved after Matilda died.
