Some of Ken Poorman's in-law stuff,
                         i.e. Hansberry, Szydlowski, etc . . .

Uncle Sam visits Frank Hansberry ...

Now this was a pretty neat event . . . Francis J. Hansberry, my father-in-law, otherwise known as Frank Hansberry, beat it out of Gelnhausen Germany ASAP when his Army hitch was up.  I think the Bier Meisters may have been after him, or something - he doesn't talk about it much.  Anyway, he didn't wait around to receive the medals he was entitled to at the time.  But thanks to U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, the U.S. Army dug up Frank's records, and two distinguished gentlemen came to his 73rd birthday party at Westover to honor him with his awards.  Senator John Rafferty and Colonel Jim Georges graciously presented Frank with words of appreciation for his service, and his medals, i.e. the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation-Germany, and National Defense Service Medal.  All of Frank's family is grateful to Senator Rafferty and Col. Georges for their kindness.
