World War 2 Heros . . .
Some of these WWII warriors are relatives or namesakes, eg. Hall, Munro, Poorman, Ryan, Wertz,
or friends, people from my hometown area, or just those I ran across who deserve recognition and our prayers . . .

Fred Lakner was a Construction Foreman for Bell Telephone in Altoona PA where I worked with him when
I was a Claims Rep at 3615 Beale Avenue from
1973 to 1977. I liked and respected Fred. He was always helpful, good foreman, good guy. Sorry to see
that another old friend passed on. Rest in peace Fred.

December 8, 2006 - Tonight I saw Wilbert L. Ketner interviewed on 75-PCN TV in Harrisburg, Pa. Interesting hearing about his missions and other experiences in the big one.
He said he was on radio in Altoona, Pa.
I wonder if he lived there when I did? I said a prayer for you, Mr. Ketner. Thanks for your service.

Bobby O'Donnell was our mailman in Castanea when I was a kid. Everyone in town liked him. He always had
a pleasant or kind word of greeting. When I was older and bought the Dale Masters house on Island Route,
Bobby and Grace were my next door neighbors. He was always very kind and pleasant to my kids. I still admire him
for his kindness. Rest in Peace.
