Steve Wong's Web Site

Hello, you have reached a web site that is finally up and running.  This is my first attempt setting the site up and will be a ongoing work in progress.  As I practice my newly acquired html coding skills hopefully you will see the fruits of my labors.  I've been a section of html coding each and every night and this stuff is almost actually fun.  I was wary of attempting columns and sections but I must admit it's a whole lot easier than BASIC or JAVA!

Finally brought everything over to geocities.com but will run everything parallel for a while just to insure the site is stable.  In the interim you can visit my site at www.geocities.com/swong1029/1.html  If all goes well I will redesign my opening page with a link over to geocities.  This has been a lot more work than I anticipated but the good news is I have 15meg of hosting space versus the 5 meg allocated to me at Erols.com   Bad news is I have to live with the pop-up ads as a condition of using Geocities' FREE hosting facilities.

Just a quick update informing all of you people who attended the summer picnic you will have your 20 minutes of "fame and notoriety". I have been requested to forward copies of the pictures taken during our Summer Picnic held at Robert Moses State Park to our ETOSS organization. They will be using some of the pictures at the evening opening ceremonies at Leesburg, Virginia for the Annual Analyst Conference.

On more of a technical note, I am in the process of securing a 3.3 or higher megapixel camera to play with in my attempt to self develop myself in HTML coding. I find as I perform the cropping, cut and pastes in PhotoShop the graphics are exhibiting their dithering and loss of resolution. Just goes to prove purchasing any high tech digital camera is only current for a limited time. I like the Kodak product line because it uses off the shelf standard batteries, compact flash memory, and is nicely supported by Kodak at their web site. Wife is not going to be very please with my latest wish list...it would be more palatable if QCOM gets back up to 180/share! Go the Church & light a candle for me on this one guys!....I need help and want another toy!

Thank you Vic Marsigliano and Susy for informing me the pages take way too long to load.   I've knew about this trying to view the pages with the 28.8 dial-in to our server.  I've done some more "cut and pastes" adding call outs to additional pages and hope to make it a whole lot faster.  The good news is the home page will load faster and the links added will bring you to the same pic's.   The bad news is Erols charges an obscene amount of money for 30 more meg of server space so I will be migrating my web site to a more cost effective site.   I'll let you guys know. when the changeover occurs.
