This is the Limited Edition hot cast bronze of the original wood carving. Only 15 pieces will be cast in this edition.

As you can see, Phase Four means she has already changed her tail in to legs. Notice there is still some green color in the lower legs, since they haven't finished changing. Also note the green eyes, both pupil and white, and the pointed ears. These attributes will also be changed by the time she is finished. Now look at the hair just above her forehead. As I created this piece I realized that merfolk couldn't have the long hair most artists portray them with. It would be a non-survival trait in the water. It would slow their swim speed down and they would be caught/killed by their enemies. So in the water they form the hair into a more dynamic shape, here it looks a bit like a horseshoe crab shell. Of course they shake it out when out of the water, that's when most artists have seen them.
Bronze version $2550 USD plus shipping etc.
