The night started weird as the car seemed really good in practice, then when it was
time for the heats it was waaay too loose. (Which is why heats are so important as otherwise it would have been that way for
the race.) Tightened it up for the race and was slotted to start 8th.
I think all of the dare stock drivers were like me and tired of going at the end of the night
but be careful what you wish for I guess as we went first and had to deal with that nasty sun going down the front stretch.
As came to wit after the first restart when some commotion a few cars ahead planted me into the bumper of the 16
the instant after being completely blinded. Fortunately for both of us it was pretty much a square hit and although the damage
to both our cars was extensive it didn't take us out all together.
After we both lost a few spots from the incident I realized there was definitely something wrong
with my car as the handling completely changed so just kicked back and took it easy the rest of the race.
There was one incident on the last lap where I found myself to be the meat in a sandwhich. I
didn't really do anything to get there, just following the car in front of me. I did however choose not to make it worse for
the outside car by keeping my foot in it. It's not worth it to me to take someone else out just to gain a position or two,
regardless as to whose fault it is if anyones. Sometimes you just find yourself in a spot you didn't see coming. But
on the other hand kindness shouldn't be confused with weakness either...
Car was worse than I thought, it's off to Barre's for repair (ironic enough).
