Started the race outside pole and actually hung it out there for 6 laps (I hate the outside..) and dropped to 5th where I could tuck it in and at least not drop back anymore. But I then saw a black flag waiving and heard something on the radio about a tire.. So on lap 7 or 8 I tried to look at the dang screen that displays the car number (in turn 1 with the sun), and saw it was for another car, but ended up driving it in the dirt and missing any kind of line completely. So lost another spot.

     Around lap 11 I was able to get up to the bumper of the car in front of me going down the front stretch and was trying to keep those few inches between without hitting him when the 7 broke suddenly and I slammed the brakes too, looked ahead and it musta been cuz of the angle all I could see was his roof and car and nothing ahead of him so I got back in the gas and unexpectedly tapped him in the rear again and I remember thinkin, aw crap I turned him, then i saw why he had turned so abruptly. Unfortunately I was already back in the gas and with the momentum I had there was no way turning left was gonna do anything. And the high road was already taken up and as a result got funnelled right into the 15.

     My apologies go out to her, nothing I could do honest. And given the fact that this is the first time I remember actually hitting another car (enough to get taken out anyway), in 5 years since.... ironically enough when I was driving the 50 my first year and the 15 and I tangled. (That night I had a little damage up front with the 15, but I then got hit in the rear from the 19 at about 70mph..) I don't think that's too bad of a track record. (Okay, bad Punn).

     I haven't looked at the car yet, But it looks like and I'm hoping it's just a radiator and bumper and some cosmetic work...

    Can't complain... It's all part of it I guess... No one would listen anyway...
