Definitely a better week than the previous as far as outcomes go. Finished 2nd in the
heat and 5th in the race. It was green to checker with no cautions. Started in 3rd behind the 92. Although I was doin my best
to avoid tappin the rear bumper of the 92, did not have much choice from the pressure from behind of the 2. Things settled
out after I think we went 3 wide, rather smoothly as 3 wides can go anyway. The 25 and then the 97 got around me and when
I looked in the rear view the closest car was probably 5 lenghths back.
The five of us kinda single-filed it the rest of the race, although the cars behind got farther
away I could not make any gains on the four in front of me. My car just went to tight due to no cautions. That coupled
with having 8 Races on these tires and no traction, a 5th is probably the best I am gonna get till I get some new rubber anyway...
With the points up top getting shook up I am somehow still only 60 pts out of first. But 22
pts out of 10th. The top 10 in pts are still really tight being 38 pts seperating them all. The season is just about half
over with 9 different winners in 9 races. Whether your'e a fan or not, the new rule for previous winners and starting 10th
or higher has definitely had an effect in the division. I personally am a fan (though some might say I'm biased as I haven't
won yet.), not necesarily for the individual race effect but for the points overall. Compared to the other divisions top ten;
SK 112, LM 142, SK Lights 252, and Ltd LM 262 pts. Compared to our 38 pts, it has made our division allot more competitive, I
would not be entirely surprised if this rule, or some form of it, made it's way into at least the Lights and Ltd next year..
Anyway, at least my wife's happy I can finish the bathroom re-model this weekend, no car to fix.. I just gotta find something
to sell to get me some tires..lol
