Andover Historical Society Exhibits

In addition to the Amos Blanchard House & Barn museum permanent exhibits, AHS also sponsors the Andover Contemporary Artist series of exhibits, which feature the work of locally prominent artists in a variety of media. Special exhibits on local history are also on display periodically. Exhibits are open for viewing during regular museum hours.

Faces from the Past:
Portraits from the Collection of the Andover Historical Society exhibit

Come visit some old friends at the Historical Society. Faces from the Past features oil portraits of Andover’s 19th century movers and shakers. The people portrayed in the portraits were connected to the Blanchard House, to Andover history and to the Historical Society itself. In addition to formal oil portraits, Faces from the Past also includes miniatures and silhouettes.

Latest Contemporary Andover Artist Series Exhibit “Here and There”

Local photographer John Zipeto is showing 16 photographs of Andover and travel scenes including gondolas in Venice, Italy, Ireland and the Grand Canyon. An exhibit reception will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Meet the artist and hear about his work. Free admission.
