Welcome to my Page. My name is Dave. I currently live in Tiverton, RI but I was born and raised in Newport. I always liked living there and Newport will always hold a special place in my heart. There is no place like it anywhere and if you've ever visited, you know what I mean.

Being a HAM has been a dream of mine since I built my first shortwave radio way back when I was 9yrs old. It's a great hobby and I've enjoyed it for sometime now. I just upgraded to my General ticket in Nov '04 and now I'm working on my Extra Ticket. It's a blast! Wish me LUCK!

Well, I got my Extra ticket on 4/23/06. Because my call will be changing you'll see changes here. My new call should be N1YG begining at or around 6/9/06.

The repeaters I have listed are some of the ones I use. You will find me mostly on 146.76/FM during the daytime. This seems to be the most widely used repeater in RI and has excellent coverage.
