This is my base antenna. A GP-15 and a Cushsraft 3 element Yagi.
The "Mobile". Collecting dust as it often does... I run a IC V8000 with a mag mnt for my mobile. Does great for me.
I run an Icom 706MKIIG as my base and a IC T-90 HT as my secondary radio. The 706 is hooked to the GP-15 and the T-90
to the Yagi. I cover a pretty large area with this setup. Even on 5 watts I can hit the Paxton and Worchester repeaters which
is about sixty or so miles away. Not too shabby if you ask me. In the mobile I run another Icom, the IC V-8000. Can you tell
I have a preference for Icom's?? LOL Just happen to work out that way I guess.
