Directions

Maynard is roughly in the center of the quadrilateral formed by I-495, Route 2, Route 128 (a.k.a. I-95), and I-90 (Mass Pike). Routes 27, 62, and 117 all go through Maynard. In short, there are a lot of different ways to get here. I recommend getting a good Massachusetts map and seeing what works for you. Here are some possible routes:

From CT and Points South, West:

I-90 (Mass Pike) East to I-495 North or
I-90 (Mass Pike) East to I-290 East to I-495 North.

• Take Exit 27 (Rte. 117 E - Stow/ Maynard).
• Stay left on the exit ramp, towards Rte. 117 E - Stow/ Maynard. Go to the end of the ramp.
• Turn LEFT onto Main Street. Drive for 2.2 miles.
• Main Street becomes Rte. 117/ Great Road. Drive for 3.4 miles.
  Landmarks: Stow Shopping Center with Shaw's Supermarket (on left), Erikson's Ice Cream (on left).
• Immediately after Shopping Center, turn LEFT onto Pompositticut Road. Drive for 0.4 miles.
• Pompositticut Road becomes Summer Street. Drive for 1 mile.
• Turn slight LEFT onto Concord Street. Drive for 0.1 miles.
• At the intersection of Concord Street and Lincoln Street, RIGHT onto gravel road.
  (If you reach Brooks Street/ Acton Street/ Route 27, you've gone too far.)
• Go to end & park.
• We are the yellow house on the left, 21½ Concord Street.

From Fitchburg and Points West:

Route 2 to Route 27 South.

• Once on 27, go through Acton and into Maynard.
• Immediately after entering Maynard, speed limit drops abruptly from 40 MPH to 30 MPH.
  Landmark: Christmas Motors (on left). Watch for speed traps here and in front of Maynard Country Club (on left).
• Speed limit drops again, to 25 MPH.
• Immediately after Duncan's Beemers/ Whiting's Auto Body, RIGHT onto Concord Street.
• Go 3 blocks.
• At the intersection of Concord Street and Lincoln Street, LEFT onto gravel road.
  (If you reach Summer Street, you've gone too far.)
• Go to end & park.
• We are the yellow house on the left, 21½ Concord Street.

From Boston and Points East:

Route 2 to Route 62 West.

• Once on 62, go through Concord and into Maynard.
• Where 62 intersects with Route 27, RIGHT onto 27.
• Immediately before Whiting's Auto Body/Duncan's Beemers, LEFT onto Concord Street.
• Go 3 blocks.
• At the intersection of Concord Street and Lincoln Street, LEFT onto gravel road.
  (If you reach Summer Street, you've gone too far.)
• Go to end & park.
• We are the yellow house on the left, 21½ Concord Street.

From NH and Points North:

I-495 South to Route 2 East to Route 27 South.

• Once on 27, go through Acton and into Maynard.
• Immediately after entering Maynard, speed limit drops abruptly from 40 MPH to 30 MPH.
