School's Out for Summer!!
Dane finished the 2nd grade last week with his best report card EVER! He had all "E"'s and one "S". Way to
go little man!!
If that's not enough, Dane has also been very successful in the first two swim meets this year. He anchored
the winning relay team in meet #1, and then in meet #2 he took 2nd place in the breaststroke and 4th place in the backstroke.

Grace is nearly one month old
My, but time does fly. Grace is much more alert and eating twice as much at one time than she did two weeks ago.
The last week or two have been quite busy as Grace has been on a whirlwind promotional tour. She has visited the Martin
Agency, CJW Hospital, Lakewood Manor, and several restaurants.
Dane and Mom took Grace for her first long stroll. They went over to feed the ducks on Woolridge. That's
about 1 3/4 mi. round trip!

Growing Family!
Grace is to return home later today. Dane and Taylor can't wait. We're getting the baby monitor set up as
well as trying to regulate the temp in the house to be just right for her. Later this morning we'll be heading to the
hospital to pack Mom and Lil' Sis up for the ride home.

Holding Court with the King
Mick and Taylor arrived at the Landmark Theater this past Saturday night to see BB King at the Richmond Forum.
We picked up our tickets at will call and handed them to the usher. To our pleasant surprise, we were escorted straight
up to the orchestra pit where we gladly took our seats in the front row, center.
BB played for about 90 minutes. He was much more active and lively than the previous couple of times we've seen
him. After playing, BB stayed on stage for another hour to take questions from audience members. The questions,
about 10 of them, prompted some great stories and anecdotes from BB.
Asked what his favorite song of all time was, he quickly responded Willie Nelson's "Always on My Mind". Another question
was how he decided that being a musician was the life for him. BB said he made $22.50 a week driving a truck.
On Saturday nights he would play gospel music on the street for tips. He quickly learned that by playing more popular
dance music and blues brought in the bigger tips. He would make $40-50 in one night. BB said it didn't take long
to decide that being a musician was what he wanted to do because, "That's where the money was".

I Feel Good!
Family is enjoying a Christmas day full of rain. Dane's wish came true and a Nintendo DS was found under the tree.
He also is enjoying his new slot car racing set (almost as much as Taylor is!).
