songs 1 & 3 were recorded as entries to the neworderonline tribute cd. 
neither one gained enough votes to be included on the cd. 
'this time of night' is a new mix of that submission
and we regret not sending this version into the competition. 
'cries and whispers' was not submitted, although, in hindsight, perhaps we should have done so. 
those vocals were recorded in one take. 

many of the keyboard parts on these songs were originally recorded as parts of earlier
BTW compositions and have been sampled, spliced, and re-sequenced to create these new songs. 
that also goes for the basic drum tracks on 'cries and whispers,' which were taken from a
song by steve's other, other band, roscoe.
