About Me

  • Breaks Interstate State Park -
This park is located both in Kentucky and Virginia hence it's name.  I've hiked the Overlook Trail.  This trail is .75 miles long and has some spectacular views of Russell Creek Gorge.  It interesects the Tower Trail which is .15 miles and is a short trail to a view of The Towers rock formation.  You then can either hike the trail back, or walk the road, I did the latter.

  • Jefferson National Forest - I've done one trail in this forest, High Knob Trail.  This trail is about a mile in length, and it starts in a bend in the road near the recreational pond and winds up to the High Knob Tower that affords a beautiful view of Southwestern Virginia. You can return the same way you came, or walk the road back.
