Yankee Springs State Recreational Park - This park is located in
the one of the hilliest section of southern part of the lower penninsula. The Hall Lake Trail
is 2 miles long and does a figure eight. It passes Graves Hill Overlook, but there is no overlook at all, and I was
quite perturbed because I had to pay 8 dollars to hike there. There is an offshoot that goes to Devil's Soupbowl, a
geological depression. But you can't really take it in, and you would never notice that it was a depression if they
didn't tell you since it's so large. But the trail is still kind of hilly, at least for southern michigan, and there
many pine trees. It also passes by Hall Lake, a very pristine and clear lake.
