This year, the New York YFT had its New Year/Spring festival celebration on February 26th. As in the past, our Boston cousins arrived early to help kick off our celebrations. We also had members of the Mah and Tse Association attending. We began with the traditional ceremony of honoring our ancestors at 12:30pm in our Association's office. Grand Eastern President Peter Yee, President Shu Chan and VP Kenny lead the ritual with YFT advisors, Board, members and guests participating. After the congratulatory speeches, a buffet lunch was served.

 

The evening gala was attended by over 800 people. Our emcee Kennie introduced all the distinguish guests and speakers. She did a great job as usual. This year, following the congratulatory speeches, President Shu Chan presented a plaque to a very special cousin, Lai-Sun Yee. This Yee Family Honor acknowledges Lai-Sun for her outstanding achievements and contributions.

 

As for the musical entertainment, Chinese songs were performed by many Karaoke singers, all who volunteered their talents. They were all excellent and everyone had a great time. Many thanks to all the volunteers, Karaoke singers, distinguish guests for making our annual New Year/Spring Banquet a success. Also, thanks to all those families and friends for attending this year.
