A Life Remembered
Dit Nam Yu, a man from modest beginnings who saw family and community as important, has become a most revered figure
to so many people. His philosophy on life is best described by a quote from President John F. Kennedy's inaugural
address 'Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country'. He served as a caring husband,
father to his family as well as a businessman, community leader in Chinatown and an author. In addition, he
has given over three decades of indispensable service to this association and has earned the honored title of Grand
Elder. Even though his physical condition worsen, he still didn't want to bother others, continuing to be an inspiration
to everyone even towards the end. His spirit and thoughts will live forever to those who come to know him.
