Good deeds should not go unnoticed.
At our 2005 annual meeting, President Shu Chan proposed that the NY YFT should give aid towards the Tsunami Relief efforts. This was in response to the Chairman of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association asking every association to donate money to the cause. Uncle Kwong Yi proposed we donate the money directly to the Red Cross Tsunami Relief fund. With unanimous agreement, members started giving what they could. In the weeks following, over $3,000 was given. Thank you to all those, young and old, for their generous donations.

During our Autumn Moon Festival celebration on September 18th 2005, our President Shu Chan announced that the NY YFT is collecting funds to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  Again, Uncle Kwong Yi proposed we accomplish this by supporting the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.  In less than two hours, we collected over $1,000.  With the massive devastation, every penny helps Red Cross to provide critical necessities and assistance.  So, if you have not given. please give and thank you all for your donations.
