Music is the best! I enjoy listening, playing, writing and recording music. I've been doing this now for over 40 years! I was involved in music programs all though school and I've played in bands and various musical groups. Now I mostly play in the comfort of my studio with my wife who is an outstanding singer.

I'd like to share some of what I've learned with the visitors to my world. You are invited to join me in my adventure around the world of music!

Here is a picture of my home studio.

I have very diverse tastes in music. I like a wide variety of music including prog rock, new age/electronic, rock, classical, and jazz. I play keyboards and guitar and have a small recording studio in my home, including 3 synthesizers, 14-track mixer and various and sundry signal processing gear. I use Sonar Producer software and can make very professional sounding recordings. I play a Fender Stratocaster and a Variax 300 through a POD XT Live footpedal.

This is a list of the current equipment I use.

I mainly use Cakewalk Sonar 7 Producer. I also use 2 music software packages by PG Music, Power Tracks Pro and Band-In-A-Box which are very inexpensive programs with a lot of power. Some compositions are written directly into Power Tracks, others start in Band-In-A-Box which get written to a .MID file which is then read into Power Tracks and then rearranged. I'm also using audio loops using Sonar to create some really phat drum tracks. Listen to the sample from Because to hear some drum loops in use. Clouds was mixed using Sonar's surround sound functions.
