Welcome graphic

This is my website that hopefully you will find both informing and entertaining. I am a hobbyist /collector although I do try to help maintain species that we currently have in American aviculture. My flock varies from 100 to 150 at the height of breeding season. I have an indoor bird room with In the indoor bird room, there are two fountains in the room, many live plants and trees and mini lights for stars at night. It is my tropical oasis to get through my least favorite season (winter). The summer of 2004 my son and I built two outdoor aviaries. I expanded it the spring 2005. I keep a good portion of the flock outdoors from April to October.

I encourage individuals to work with natural occurring species to create and develop sustainable captive species in American aviculture. I hold firmly that the diversity that exist in nature is significant and that using these small creatures as genetic experiments to produce new mutations is counter to the love of these birds. To me, the question is whether you have birds to enjoy the birds, or for a personal goal of achieving recognition for success experiments in the genetics of this delightful, beautiful birds. Unfortunately, no national organization exist that focuses on the promotion of sustainable captive flocks.

I hope you enjoy your visit and return often to see the frequent additions I will be making.
