NRA Approved Air Pistol Matches

 

Location:

Clubhouse, Fairfax Rod & Gun Club, 7039 Signal Hill Road, Manassas, VA 20111.  Parking is also available outside of the entrance gate.

Dates:

Sunday Evenings.

2008:  October 26th      November 16th     December 14th

2009:  January 11th         February 15th    March  8th             April 12th       

Time:

Match begins at 6:30 PM.  6 firing positions are available.  A 2nd relay is possible if sufficient participation. 

Entry Fees:

$7.50 for each match for Fairfax Rod & Gun members & $10.00 for non-members. (Both fees include the NRA fee of $4.50 per person per match).

Course of Fire:

60 record shots with .177 (4.5 mm) lead pellets

Preparation Period:           10 minutes -  non-firing (dry-firing okay)

Sighting In Period:            15 minutes - unlimited sighting shots.

1st Record Firing Period:  15 minutes  – 5 shots each on 2

                                             B-40 targets (total of 10 shots)

2nd Record Firing Period:  15 minutes  – 5 shots each on 2

                                             B-40 targets (total of 10 shots)

3rd Record Firing Period:  15 minutes  – 5 shots each on 2

                                             B-40 targets (total of 10 shots)

4th Record Firing Period:  15 minutes  – 5 shots each on 2

                                             B-40 targets (total of 10 shots)

5th Record Firing Period:  15 minutes  – 5 shots each on 2

                                             B-40 targets (total of 10 shots)

6th Record Firing Period:  15 minutes  – 5 shots each on 2

                                             B-40 targets (total of 10 shots)

Awards:

Certificates for each competitor for each match. Cash awards will be given to the match winner if there are at least 6 competitors and to the classification winners if there are at least 3 competitors in those classifications.  Classifications may be combined.

Rules:

Current NRA International Pistol Rules.  Ear & eye protection mandatory.
