Jay A. Yanavok, Esq. is a lifelong resident of the State of New Jersey and,
for the past five years, has maintained his primary office in the Kenvil section of Roxbury Township in Morris County, New
Jersey.
Jay obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) degree in 1982 from Lehigh University in Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania, his Masters of Business Administration (Public Administration) degree in 1983 from Lehigh University in Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania, and his Juris Doctor (Law) degree in 1986 from the Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, New Jersey.
After graduating law school, Jay served as an Associate at two large law firms prior to founding his own firm in 1991.
During his career, Jay has served in numerous public and private capacities, such as a Municipal Prosecutor,
a County Public Defender, a Municipal Public Defender, a Planning Board Attorney, a Zoning Board Attorney, a Law Guardian
(DYFS cases), Corporate Counsel to several small, medium, and large sized businesses, a Court-appointed arbitrator, and a
Court-appointed mediator. In addition, Jay has served as a mentor to numerous junior attorneys, has taught Litigation
and Law at two local high schools, and has taught History of Law and Constitutional Law at the Morris County Police and Fire
Training Academy.
