ICINGS White Vanilla Icing (use on any of the BROWN BOBBYS) Beat up a sufficient amount of 4X (xxxx) fine powdered sugar with enough cold water to make a mix soft enough to drop from spoon. Add in one ounce of butter to every pound of powdered sugar. This helps to keep the icing from running too freely. Add a few drops of vanilla flavoring. Dip top of BROWN BOBBY doughnut in the icing. Place on platter or drying rack, allowing the icing to settle and dry. Maple or Caramel Icing Use same method as with the White Icing, adding either maple flavor or caramel flavor in any amount desired. Cocoanut Icing Use Vanilla Icing. Before the icing is dried, after the doughnut is dipped, sprinkle same with shredded cocoanut in any amount desired. Brown Bobby Currant or Raisin Top Use any of the plain mixes. After batter is put into the mold, sprinkle raisins or currants on top. Close lid and allow to bake. Directions for Use of Prepared Mix Brown Bobby Plain Mix Mix three parts flour to one part water. Mix lightly. When machine is hot, fill three fourths full and allow to bake for about 3 minutes. To take doughnuts out of the machine use a small spatula or plain thin-bladed knife. Brown Bobby Tutti-Frutti Mix 2 Lbs Brown Bobby Doughnut Mix 1 Pint Cold Water 4 - 6 Oz. Cleaned Currants or Raisins 4 - 6 Oz. any kind of chopped nuts Mix flour, currants or raisins and nuts well.
