The following Town Funded benefits are not factored into the salary data:
- Pension Contributions, estimated to be $1,522,165.00 FY 05-06.
- Retirement after 28 years of service at 60% of salary. Pensions automatically increase 3% per year.
- New retirees receive two years of paid health benefits.
- Professional Development.
- 100% for Health Insurance Benefits.
- 50% Health Insurance buy back, with no upper limit. Current Buy back is $6,834.00. Total cost to taxpayers
is $445,000.00 and rising.
- 100% Tuition reimbursement for all teachers pursuing another college degree, and a $500 stipend once
the degree is conferred, Mileage and Books.
- 100% for Life Insurance Premiums.
- 15 (working days) sick time. Time accrues to a maximum of 160 working days.
- One year unpaid prental leave with health benefits.
