The purpose of this website is to share actual data  included in the FY 05/06 budget.   This data was PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DEPARTMENT.  Many salaries are in fact either INACCURATE, or NOT INCLUDED.   These inaccuracies are in the  FY 05/06 Budget.

The School Administration has repeatedly failed to provide a complete and accurate accounting for the  FY 05-06 Budget.  As a result, the Town Council has made significant cuts to the budget.  $400,000 was cut, and another $400,000 was moved to the Municipal budget for safe keeping. This outcome is directly related to The School Administration's refusal  to comply with requests for information from the Town Council.

FY-05-06 Salary

Budget Assumes 3.5% retroactive pay for FY 04-05, and 3.6% for FY 05-06.

Also includes step increases for teachers moving up from one step to another.

Average increase between steps is 9.2%.  For example, a teacher moving from step 5

to step 6 would receive an automatic average raise of 9.2% + 3.5% + 3.6%.

This means teachers that have not achieved step 10, the average expected raise

would be 16.3%

This data set was obtained from the School Department, and is the stated basis for assumptions made in budgetary preparations for the FY 05-06 Budget.  The APRA complaint was filed because the School Department did not provide a complete set of salary numbers.  This information pertains to the proposed FY 05-06 budget that was presented to the School Committee.
