Shady heads to Anchorage on Saturday. He'll be working on another Extreme
Alaska-type show, this time for Discovery, and will be editing for 3 weeks on-site. Wow! Although Alaska in January
is not my idea of a good time, it's still pretty exciting. Bruiser and I will hold down the fort on the homefront.
I just got back from an
eco-adventure press trip in Costa Rica. It was really fun, and I did a lot of things that I wouldn't have done otherwise. But
that's just the thing: I wouldn't have done ANY of these activities that are so popular with tourists (canopy tour,
tubing, canyoning, rafting) had they not been part of the trip. Well, at least now I don't need to wonder what it's
like to ride a zip-line, rappell down a waterfall, or raft on the Pacuare!
I recently had a great opportunity to visit Arizona for GoNomad.com and got to see the lots of great places. The
first article about this trip is up now. It's about the Grand Canyon: Helicopter tours and the Grand Canyon Railway.
Laurie is off for Costa Rica. She'll be back after a week of adventure stuff: biking, hiking, whitewater rafting, horseback
riding etc.
