Excerpts from the interview:“... Since the early 1990s, my artwork has deconstructed the American dream, fairy tales, nursery rhymes and lullabies, gender roles/gender assignment, the fragility of family dynamics, and domestic violence...
I have a solo show entitled Containment 2009, at the Lillian Immig Gallery. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Cardinal Cushing Library at Emmanuel College, 400 the Fenway, Boston MA 02115. The reception is Wednesday, November 18th from 5-7pm. All are welcome... Viewers will see recent and new works from my ThePrincessProject.com that utilize 1960’s vintage suitcases. I recently came back from a residency at Gozo Contemporary in Malta so there is a new work in progress from that residency in this show... ”

Excerpts from the interview:"...The natural world plays a big role in my work. I like to encourage an appreciation for things not human. Sometimes there's a story to tell, other times the story emerges as the piece(s) develop. Sometimes there is no story at all, just an object I am pleased for having made. I also like for there to be a sense of discovery, either within the piece itself, or for there to be something about the work that an individual can go away with and start seeing the world differently..."
"Currently I am having a solo exhibition entitled Sticks and Bones at the Newton Free Library in Newton Center. This exhibit is on view in the Main Hall through November 29th. It's an exhibit featuring some of my smaller framed works; most of them incorporate photographs, bones or other natural materials..."
