who we are

Greetings to All:

We would like to inform you that artSPACE@16’s physical gallery space has been closed for good as of June 1st, 2008.

After running artSPACE@16 (previously known as S.T Gallery in the Fort Point Channel) for nearly a decade (9 years and 8 months to be exact) I have decided to close its doors for good on May 31, 2008. The website artSPACEat16.com will continue to perform as artSPACE@16’s archive and as a current online art resource for all.

I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to all the exhibited artists, collaborators, curators, jurors, writers, family and friends that have contributed to the transformation and growth of artSPACE@16 over the years. I certainly could not have done any of this work without your help and participation.

Thank you ALL for such a wonderful experience.

Sincerely,

Sand T

City in creating a demand for an increase in art visibility in Malden.

The goal of artSPACE@16 is not only to provide a space for innovative contemporary art, but to also make Malden a city where artists can come together to take part in constructing a creative community.

is a 576 sq. ft two-car garage converted to gallery space. It has wall space of 99 linear feet with a 7'9" high ceiling. The gallery space is well-lit with natural light, basic spotlights and clip-lights.
