History behind the outtakes:
While doing some much needed rearranging and reorganizing of the computer room in our parent's home, we found a little treasure. Stashed in the midst of Chinese dictionaries and statistics textbooks were the negatives and contact prints of the pictures that our dad took from 1968-1971. Those years were probably the most prolific photography years for him as he shot over 4000 pictures. All pictures were shot in black and white since our dad developed the pictures himself in his makeshift darkroom (a.k.a. the bathroom). While flipping through the contact prints, we discovered that despite the impressive size of our 12"x14" baby albums (two for Clara, one for Helga) there were quite a few pictures that were not included in our albums. Since they were deemed unsuitable for our albums, we figured that they would be perfect for the Internet.
