The following information is taken from the records of [DTA] and [MH]: Bartholomew married in August 1821, to Elizabeth Drake in Warren County, Ohio. Elizabeth Drake was born in Greene County, Pa. and was the daughter of Lewis Drake (1766-1820) and Mary Russell (1769-1821). After the marriage, Bartholomew removed to Dover Township where he was a sailing captain for several years. He had a schooner called "Maria Zebriski" that was used to carry wood from Toms River to New York during the period 1820-1830. They removed to Johnson County, Indiana in 1932, where he had previously obtained land. Bartholomew served as Probate Judge for several years in Johnson County.

A note from Trudy Slaven (1995) indicated that Joseph C. was enumerated along with his son (R. Applegate) in the 1880 Census of Sumner Christy Township, Illinois. That Cenus indicated that R. was born ca. 1841 in Ohio.
Joseph C. married Zylphia Ann Potter. Zylphia was the daughter of Capt. Reuben Potter of Toms River.

Note: There is a letter from H.T. Hagaman indicating that John D. had a son John Hendrickson by (1) Rebecca Hendrickson prior to his marriage to Mary Grover. [DTA]
John served in the War of 1812 in Capt. Newell's Co. NJ Militia from September 19, 1814 to December 6, 1814. At enlistment, he as 5' 6" in height and had dark eyes.
John D. is interred in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. The grave is located in what appears to be the same plot as Jacob Jr. The headstones are about 6 feet apart.
The will for John D. was probated in Ocean County. An abstract contained the names of the heir-at-law as widow Mary and children: Ivins O., Moses G., Ivins, Margaret Hyers, and Joseph G. It should be noted that the will doesn't contain the name of John H. even though he was living at the time. This discrepency needs to be researched.
