A Asher Vaughn 
Introduction: The parents of Asher Vaughn are unknown at this time. It is believed that Asher was born in Middletown; however, no positive evidence of that fact is known. His marriage to Charity Stout was recorded in Middlesex County on 9/1/1799. He spent his entire adult life in Dover Township. There is a candidate for his father, but no definitive proof. The estate of a Samuel Vaughn was was probabted in Middlesex County on 8/29/1795. The Adm'x of the estate was Catherine Vaughn with Fellowbondsman, James Johnston (both of Middlexsex County). The inventory of the estate was made by James Johnston and David Williamson.
