Doing a good impression of a WWII soldier requires research. Before we can hope to recreate we have to understand that which we are trying to recreate. The best starting point is the original training manuals, films, and circulars. By studying the training materials of the time each club member learns the same standard operating procedures and rules of conduct that were known to all WWII soldiers. You should recognize that in a military unit things are not always done by the book; but studying the original training materials will give all us late twentieth century living historians a common frame of reference from which to start our education in the field.
