Presbyterian Women's Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ,

and empowered by the Holy Spirit,

we commit ourselves....

To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study.

To support the mission of the church worldwide.

To work for justice and peace, and

To build an inclusive, caring community of women

that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA)

and witnesses to the promise of God’s Kingdom

HUPW can provide leadership opportunities for those who are interested. Ideally, the Coordinating Team (officers) should not remain static. We seek new ideas for program and mission. Our budget is independent from the church budget.

"Worship and serve him with your whole heart and with a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart, understands, and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him.…”

1 Chronicles 28:9 NLT

"Praise You in This Storm"

I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

God pursues us with his love

  • Must I love other people? What if I don't want to?
"Anyone who says, "I am in the light" but rejects another Christian is still in darkness."
1 John 2:9 NLT

Being a Christian comes with certain expectations, and one of them is that we will love others. Our Christian conduct is proof as to whether we love each other, and loving each other is proof that we belong to Christ.

Never take someone
for granted...
Hold every person
close to your Heart,
because you might
wake up one day
and realize that
you've lost a Diamond,
while you were
TOO BUSY
collecting Stones.
