Step 1. Collect family photos

Old PhotosGather photos of family events to be used-small, large, size; not a problem. You can use old programs, birth or marriage certificates, news articles, deeds, any item that has meaning or memory of that person. Include maps, photos of the house, cars, pets; the list is endless. **For your first project, limit photographs to no more that 12 pictures.

Step 2. Purchase Washable Inkject Print Fabric Sheets

Start looking for photo transfer fabric -June Tailor Colorfast Fabric sheets for inkjet or color copier paper is the best - it's washable and the images do not run.

Step 3. Digitize Photographs

Full sheetConvert images to digital format. Use a color flatbed scanner to scan in photographs. If scanner is unavailable, take pictures of the photographs with a digital camera. Use the layout program to select and arrange photos to fit on 8½ x 11 fabric sheet. The image format can be TIFF for printing and JPEG for web images.
