Riverton's Drive 25 Campaign Attend Riverton's Bike/Pedestrian Plan Public Information Center on August 30.

Join fellow community members and Borough officials in a collaborative effort to make our town more walkable and bicycle-friendly with Riverton's own

Did you know that most drivers speeding on your street live in your neighborhood? (Taken from KKAD25 materials)

Driving 10 MPH over the speed limit, from one edge of Riverton to the other, saves only 31 seconds of your time. (Cross County Connection, TMA)

A pedestrian hit by a vehicle traveling 30mph is 3 times more likely to die than one hit by a vehicle traveling 25mph! (General Estimates Database on Police Reported Accidents, 1999, taken from KKAD25 materials)

Only 15% of pedestrians struck at 40 MPH will survive. By slowing to 20 MPH, the survival rate climbs to 95%. (Cross County Connection, TMA)

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Here's what you can do now:

Contact us to get involved in our campaign.

Report your concern using our online form and/or print and circulate a petition on your street.

SLOW DOWN (and everyone behind you will have to also). Make sure you observe the 25-mph speed limit in residential neighborhoods and encourage visitors, friends and family members to do the same.

Look for opportunities to purchase and post yard signs, bumper stickers and other Drive 25 campaign merchandise to help raise awareness.
