I am hoping to post embroidery related content here
Hi all!
Many of you remember me grousing about a year ago about some wedding pillows I was making with my embroidery machine.
Well, I did finish them a couple months after the wedding, but I did finish them finally!
For those of you who didn't hear, I wanted to do something special for Jouliana and Stephan's wedding. I bought 2 nice
designs to embroider to make 2 pillows. I matched colors to their wedding invitation, and added their names and wedding date
to one of them to really personalize it. BUT, it turns out I needed a larger hoop than I already had, so I bought a hoop
for $200 that would be big enough. Then I learned that I had to split the design in half, sew one side and then flip the
hoop and sew the other side. The 2 sides are supposed to match up so that you can't tell the difference, but no matter what
I did, they wouldn't match up. I ended up upgrading to a better machine, a Pfaff 2170 ( http://pfaffusa.com/4960.html ),
that has a computer screen to look at the design so I could see where things were and put them where they belonged and they
finally matched up. That was another $2500.
That's why I call them my $3000 pillows :). They ended up with the pillows, but I ended up with the better end of the
deal I think :)
Thanks for getting married, Jouliana and Stephan and giving me this great opportunity!
The email below is from the website where I bought the designs. I sent them photos of the finished products and they
are putting them in their showcase.

What I am doing today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
