Belong in Worship!
The essence of our faith is the blessed community. The Gospel of Jesus
Christ and the witness to the miracle of God's love at work in the world is the work of Christ's people. It begins here
in our church.
When a child is baptized in our midst and made a member of the church of
Jesus Christ, the adults of the congregation promise to be active in nurturing that child's faith, to welcome that child into
the life and worship of the faith community, and to be nurtured by their presence and witness in return. Children give
us the gift of trust and a fresh point of view, we older folks can share the gifts of acceptance, patience and the wisdom
of the church through the ages.
