When I went to college at Pratt Institute, I took several photography
classes. In the early 1970's, black and white photography was prevalent in the Art School at Pratt. Coming from this background,
my first color photos were awful. They looked like they should have been shot in black and white. I decided that if I was
going to shoot color photographs, color had to be an important element in the photograph.
