Rules for Fantasy NASCAR Racing 2007
How to play:
You will have a $10,000,000.00 budget to select 8 drivers to
form a unique Winston Cup Fantasy NASCAR team from the price list provided at the end of these rules. You will compete
with everyone else in the league and earn points based on the actual performance of each of your drivers during a race. The
points that all of your drivers earn are then added together to determine the overall leader after each race. Official points
are based on the results as determined by RACESCORE.COM and will be discussed later. We also award 10 points for the driver
in the pole position. The results of each race will be downloaded on Tuesday night and posted on the web site for review.
You will be allowed to make changes to your team throughout the season if some of them are not performing well, transactions
will be discussed later. The team with the most number of points at the end of the season is the winner. We will be playing
all 36 races this year. And basically, that's all there is to it. The overal object of our league is to have fun without
it costing a fortune!
Fees:
The cost to play this year will be $???. All entry fees
go into the overall prize pot. There are no fees for transactions, however, transactions are limited to one (1) driver
change per race. Fees must be received by Wednesday, February ??? to be eligible to play.
Transactions:
You may make one (1) driver change per race as long as
you do not go over the $10,000,000.00 budget. Driver values will stay the same throughout the season. Transactions must be
emailed to me one (1) hour prior to the beginning of each race as posted on the email message.
Prizes:
The prizes will be a percentage of the total pot. The pot is made up
of all the entry fees, minus the cost of the software used to maintain the league. The cost of the software this year is $???.
The more people we can sign up, the less it will cost each of us to play and the pot will continue to get larger. The prize
breakdown is as follows:
First prize: 60% of the pot
Second prize: 30% of
the pot
Third prize: 10% of the pot
No other prizes will be awarded. To determine the amount
of the pot, add up the total number of teams in the league, multiply it by $??? then subtract $??? for the software.
So, as you can see, the more people we sign up, the larger the prizes!
Points:
Points
are awarded for each driver based on their actual performance during the race, in other words the Official points they are
actually awarded at the end of the race. Plus, we will add ten (10) bonus points for the driver with the pole position (the
pole is determined by a drivers qualifying speed or owners points if qualifying is rained out). No matter how it is determined,
if your driver is on the pole, you will earn 10 bonus points for the race.
