Hi, my name is Eric, I grew up in the Harrisburg area. I come from
a family of hunters and anglers. As a small child my father and grandfather would take me fishing at Yellow Breeches
Creek and private ponds in the area. The love of fishing has stayed with me.
Nowadays, my brother-in-law (Harry) and I fish on a regular basis. We have frequented
various spots up and down the Susquehanna river. My favorite time to go fishing is in the early morning, I think the
fish are more active. However, we also fish various times of the evening for the big catty's.
One day we went fishing for walleye and man were we banging them that day! Bro
and I nearly had our limit when out of the brush came the game warden. He asked us what we were fishing
for and catching; and how well we were doing. We both proudly showed him our stringer of fish. About this time
he told us the walleye season ended two days ago! Bro said get the blink blink outta here! We were in total disbelief,
but as it turned out it was the first year they changed the date and we had neglected to check our books!
The game warden was very kind and understanding, sadly we had to release
all our fish and he fined us each $50. My wife weren't pleased with me that day!
The moral of this story is always read your book!
